Beautiful And Natural ~

Happy Pink Saturday!

You might remember these beautiful roses. The roses in the large vase were a gift to me from my secret blogging sister. The roses in the smaller vase were from table decorations at my great granddaughter's 1st birthday party. I could not bring myself to throw these beauties away.

Here they are again - dried and still beautiful - 

The two little roses are going into a glass Christmas ball as a keepsake.

I'm not sure what I'll do with the other dried roses. In the meantime I'll continue to enjoy them. Thank you again Secret Blogging Sister.

 Below is another natural beauty. A Box Turtle. We found him/her heading under our car in the driveway. We're not sure if he/she was trying to get to the shade or taking a short cut to the spring on the opposite side. The markings on the turtle's body and shell are gorgeous. The roses and the turtle both creations by the ultimate artist, beautiful and natural.

Happy, Happy, Birthday Baby ~

One year ago today on May 25 my great granddaughter arrived prematurely. Some of you will recall she only weighed 3 lbs. 13oz. I did post pictures of her on my blog last year. Click here to see how tiny she was.

Today is Lena's FIRST Birthday!

I wanted to share how much she has grown and how beautiful she has become with all of you. She is my sweet, cuddly doll.

I'm so excited to be posting for Tea Cup Tuesday with Terri at Artful Affirmations.  I love to visit her on a Tuesday and look at the beautiful tea cup photos she always shares and visit some of the members of the tea party. 
Months ago I found a tea cup and saucer in a local antique shop. At first I wasn't sure I wanted a tea cup with a month written inside the cup and on the saucer. I thought is was pretty, and I liked the shape and colors. Now, my friend, Terri could write a fabulous description of this cup telling you about the company where it was made and give all the fine details of the cup's design. I know nothing about the company except it is English. There is a pretty Lily Of The Valley flower pattern on the saucer and on the inside and outside of the cup. There is a gold edge on the cup and saucer and a green leaf pattern surrounds the edges of the cup and saucer. The featured month is "May."  My mother and my great granddaughter were both born in May. I will celebrate both of them and drink tea in the cup in the merry month of May. I plan to give the cup to my great granddaughter when she is ready to collect tea cups ( she is having her first birthday this week!).  Come back to visit on Saturday to see my May Queen!

Celebrating A Milestone

My 200th post!
I wanted to write something special for this celebration but I wasn't sure what I would say until this week. 
I'm so excited to share my very special news with you. 

A Book Launching

Amazon has published my new children's book just in time for my celebration. 

"Molly And The Chocolate Cookie Crumb Race" is about three field mice who risk entering the county church during Sunday services. Molly, Purcey and Charlie race each other every Sunday to the chocolate cookie crumbs that are usually always under the third pew on the right. Molly loves chocolate cookie crumbs very much and she really likes to win the race. Molly also enjoys listening to the children's messages about God and his love. She wonders if God loves her, since most people don't seem to like mice.

A Tribute To My Mom...

My sweet mom pasted away three years ago. She was a remarkable woman and is greatly missed by her family. 

The vintage frame and poem I used is one of many give-away images on Abby's Little Birdie Blessings blog, click here to visit Abby. 

The poem immediately reminded me of my mother. With the help of PhotoShop I changed the wording slightly and then I added a photo of my mother.
