September!

I'm down to the wire with this post.
Here is my September Tree and Wreath.
My favorite ornaments are the apples. The photos are blurry, sorry about that. This is one of my favorite trees.
But it's time to decorate my October tree.

PLEASE STAY! Don't go...

I'd like summer to last a little longer.

I forgot to post the photos of the August decorations on my seasonal tree.
It's one of my favorite trees. I used handmade shell ornaments, tags and ATC's that I made or were gifts that I received over the years from some of my blogging friends. I purchased a few ornaments at AC Moore's on a clearance rack this summer and at a local Christmas shop that were perfect for my tree. I also purchased tiny sand buckets and shovels  to hang on the tree and I had tiny pink button sun glasses that I wired to hang on the tree.
Sadly, this Labor day weekend, I'll be taking down my beach ornaments.
September decorating begins...

The Broken Lamp...

My daughter found a lamp she LOVED in the discount room of a furniture store. Originally they were asking $25.00 for the lamp. I'm not sure why they thought it was worth that much since the lamp leg was broken as you can see in the photos below. However, as I said, my daughter just loved the lamp. She asked the sales person if they had another undamaged lamp like it in the store. The sales person assured her they did not. I asked if they would consider taking $15.00 for the lamp and I told my daughter that I would try to fix it for her. To change the price the sales person had to ask the owner of the store who wasn't there at the time. She took my daughter's name and number and said she would let her know. The next day the sales person from the furniture store called and said the owner didn't realize how damaged the lamp was and she would reduce the price to $10.00. My daughter bought the lamp. We decided the shade alone was well worth the price. It took me about a week to make the repairs and we were lucky to find a fairly close match of color.

Rescued and Revived
A lovely lamp and a happy daughter, priceless.

Welcome Summer, Farewell June!

June seem to pass so quickly.
My patio garden is growing well and I'm enjoy all the colors and fragrances. My seasonal tree for June was not one of my favorites. I was a bit stumped as to what decorations I should use for June.
Mini sunglasses, colorful pinwheels, white butterflies, bunches of Babies breath are the ornaments I used.
I'm open to suggestions for next year my friends,

I'm excited now about decorating for July.
