A Celebration Of Survivorship...Give-Away

January 17, 2006, I believe that the Lord guided the hands of my Gynecological Oncology Surgeon, Dr. Richard Belch, as he removed the advanced stage uterine cancer from my body. I believed it was gone after the surgery; however, my team of Oncology doctors strongly felt I needed more treatment. Several weeks after surgery the chemotherapy infusions began. Shortly after, the fourth chemo infusion radiation treatments began. Six months after surgery they had done all they could do; now we had to wait.
I am celebrating that after 5 years I am still cancer free. I thank God for the miracle and I cling to the HOPE of many more years of survivorship.

If you would like to share in my celebration you can participate in my give-away. Here’s all you have to do: For 1 chance leave a comment on this post. For a 2nd chance comment to let me know that you are a follower. For a 3rd chance grab my Give-Away button and post it on your blog side bar then come back and let me know.
The give-away begins on January 17 and ends on January 31.
Oh, what am I giving away? I’m giving away one of these “Hope Banners,”
I made one to give away and one to sell in my Etsy Shop.

Image Credits and thanks to: Gail at Shabby Cottage Studio and Karen at The Graphics Fairy.

I didn't have great lighting when I took these pictures. I will try to get better shots and re-post them, hope for sunshine.

  25. Hi Linda Sweetie...
What a beautiful share. I love this HOPE Banner, and it applies to me as well. I am not a cancer victim, but this past May, I got really sick with pneumonia. I spent 10 days in the hospital, 5 of them in ICU. I was sick for almost 4 months, and I have now been diagnosed with what is called Spasmodic Dysphonia. I have lost most of my speaking voice. I have been looking for HOPE, for a better tomorrow. For people to accept me as I am, and not treat me differently. Yes my friend, this banner speaks to me.

It is perfect, and I would love for you to enter my name into the drawing. A perfect gift.

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity sweet friend. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

  31. CONGRATULATIONS LINDA ON BEING 5 YEARS cancer FREE...That just makes me weep with JOY because so many are fighting this evil deamon

THAT IS SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE AND YES ALL GLORY TO OUR HEAVENLY FATHER.
MY DAUGHTER HAD CANCER AS A CHILD...GOD BLESSED US WITH 20 MORE YEARS BEFORE a different form of cancer attacked her. SHE IS/WAS THE BRAVEST PERSON I HAVE EVER KNOWN. GOD CALLED MY ONLY DAUGHTER HOME ON OCTOBER 23, 2009.
I HAVE ONE SON AND A DIL. MY GRIEF COULD NOT BE QUENCHED EVEN WITH 3 ANTIDEPRESSANTS....IT WAS THE LORD LEADING ME SLOWLY BACK TO ART THAT HAS SAVED ME...ART HEALS AND YOU ARE AN AMAZING ARTIST...YOU CAN TOUCH PEOPLE THAT HAVE cancer FAR BETTER THAN ONE WHO HAS NOT HAD IT. I WALKED THROUGH HELL WITH MY DAUGHTER BUT I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE FELT, HOW SICK THE CHEMO MADE HER EXCEPT TO WATCH ENDLESS THROWING UP.....BUT I CAN TOUCH THE LIFE OF A PARENT WHO HAS HAD A CHILD DIE.

BUT HE SAID TO ME, "MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, FOR MY POWER IS MADE PERFECT IN WEAKNESS." THEREFORE I WILL BOAST ALL THE MORE GLADLY ABOUT MY WEAKNESSES, SO THAT CHRIST'S POWER MAY REST ON ME. (10) THAT IS WHY, FOR CHRISTS SAKE I DELIGHT IN WEAKNESSES, IN INSULTS, IN HARDSHIPS, IN PERSECUTIONS, IN DIFFICULTIES. FOR WHEN I AM WEAK, THEN I AM STRONG.
