In My Back Yard

The pagoda in the collage was built in 1908 and it's located about 3 miles from my home on the top of Mt. Penn in Reading PA.  If you look carefully at the sign in the foreground you will see that it says "City of Reading."
The wisteria in the background is blooming over our patio. The pagoda and the wisteria are altered photographs that my husband and I took, it's so much fun creating using our own photos.
I added a few other vintage Asian elements to finish my collage.

More Spring...

Chinese Wisteria hanging over the patio.

Paper Butterflies, the idea and inspiration to make these came from Dorthe, at Den Lille Lade and Diane, at Diane Knott's Musings. I plan to use them to decorate envelopes and gift bags. They were made using patterned tissue paper and decorative papers.

Mind Wide Open April Challenge

"Come Play With Me" is my entry for the April Challenge from Gail at Mind Wide Open. It is my very first entry. I'm just starting to play with digital imaging and I'm enjoying it very much. I have much to learn, and look forward to continue with taking digital classes and playing with the challenges. Gail's image of the adorable butterfly fairy with the catherdral background and her word promt "magical" inspired a story which I've tried to show in my entry. The cute butterfly fairy has found a pool of blessed water where she immerses a doll and magically transforms it into a beautiful butterfly playmate. On or about April 10th you can view all of the challenge entries and you can vote for your favorite one by visiting
